My name is Ben Van Nest and The Texas Hill Country has always been my home. I grew up just half an hour from Kerrville in Boerne, Texas, spending countless days tubing down the Guadalupe River and camping along its banks. The recent floods have devastated this beautiful region, impacting communities like Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point, and Comfort. While my own family has been fortunate to avoid direct harm, I feel a deep responsibility to support my neighbors and the place I consider family.

Right now, the most urgent needs are search and rescue operations for those swept away by the floods, as well as support for first responders and clean-up efforts. The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund is working tirelessly to direct donations to vetted organizations, first responder agencies, and local governments actively involved in response, relief, and recovery. By raising funds here, I hope to provide immediate assistance to those who need it most and help restore the communities that mean so much to me.
