Hello! Our names are Helena and Emma Klein, and we’ve created this GoFundMe to support the incredible individuals who have lost work due to the Palisades fire. For the people who made our house feel like a home.

The recent Palisades fire has devastated our community, leaving behind a trail of destruction that has affected so many lives. Among those hardest hit are the incredible people who have worked tirelessly to take care of our homes. These individuals are more than just workers; they are family, always showing up with warmth, dedication, and kindness. Now, they are facing an incredibly difficult time.

The fire has left many in our neighborhood displaced, and with homes destroyed, much of the work our housekeeper Teresita Prieto, landscaper Jesus Rodriguez, and Pool maintenance team relied on has suddenly disappeared. Many of their clients, including our family, are unable to continue employing them due to the aftermath of the fires. Overnight, they lost not just one source of income, but several.

Teresita has worked for our family for over 15 years and had both of her children attend Palisades High School, so much of her life and work revolved around the Palisades. She has always been family to us, and we are so grateful for everything she has contributed to our lives.

My siblings Emma, Xander, and I decided to create this GoFundMe to help the people who have cared for us and our homes, and who have always gone above and beyond. It's the least we can do to show them our appreciation.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. Together, we can show them how much they mean to us and help them get through this incredibly challenging time.
