My name is David Sawaneh and I am the founder of Teneba's Haven -- a charitable organization to provide a voice of hope to the people of my homeland, Sierra Leone.

Sierra Leone is one of the poorest countries in the world and we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of the people there to break the cycle of hunger, poverty, and disease.

Teneba's Haven was founded in 2011 and has been helping local communities with food, clothing, education, and basic health care needs for less privileged people, especially women and children.

To date, we have opened a vocational school for women to teach them sewing skills in order to provide for their families, raised money to purchase oxen for farming, provided over-the-counter medical supplies, and are in the process of acquiring a tractor to replace the need to farm by oxen.
