Hi! I’m Teja, a life scout with Troop 202.
I'm excited to share that my Eagle Scout Service Project is officially underway! My project consists of two improvements at Moss Park:
- Installing durable trash can sets near the two boat docks : The trash can sets will consist of concrete pads with heavy-duty, animal-resistant trash cans to help reduce water pollution and keep the area trash-free and beautiful, through Florida weather.
- Constructing hammock posts at a group campsite: The hammock posts consist of four posts in a square formation that campers can hang their hammocks on. When campers tie normal ropes on trees, the high pressure created by the thin ropes can seriously damage the trunks of the trees. The hammock posts will protect Moss Park’s trees and improve the camping experience for campers.
I created this fundraiser to help cover the costs of materials, including 50 bags of concrete, lumber, hardware, and supplies. Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated and will directly contribute to cleaner waterways and better camping experiences at Moss Park. Any remaining funds or materials will be donated to Moss Park. I’m looking forward to working on this project with some of you and getting a chance to contribute to Central Florida’s beautiful parks.
