Help a Father Bring His Kids Home
I’m reaching out to share the devastating story of a close friend, Ted Brown.
He is a 33-year-old father of two (ages 7 and 4), the President of the local Little League (and my son’s coach for the past 3 years!). He works as a paraeducator at an elementary school (where he also serves on the board of their PTO) by day, and Uber delivery driver by night, to make sure all of their bills are paid. He is one of the kindest, most generous, patient, hard-working people I know, and I have personally witnessed his unwavering commitment to his kids and his community for the past several years.
Last year, he and his wife of 8 years made the impossible decision to separate and begin the process of getting divorced. But just before Thanksgiving, his wife chose to leave the state with their children.
After Ted was finally able to reconnect with his kids via text message, he learned that they were halfway across the country, and his 7 year old has not been attending school.
Ted is asking for help to raise the funds needed to hire an attorney who can assist with the divorce and custody process, and ultimately help bring his kids back home. Since November, he has taken on all the household bills while continuing to work and volunteer to keep his home a stable and loving place for his children, but the financial burden of hiring an attorney has been overwhelming.
It is in their best interest to return home to reunite with their father, their friends, their school, and community. Any contribution, big or small, would make a significant difference in helping him fight for his kids’ future.
Eternally grateful for any support you’re able to provide, even if it’s just sharing his story and a link to this GoFundMe!
Thank you,
Camille
