Help Our Family Stay Afloat & Keep Our Son in College
Goal: $25,000
Why We’re Asking for Help
I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. We're stressed, humiliated and scared. But today, I'm reaching out to ask for your help — not just for me, but for my family and especially our son, who is working hard to build a future we can all be proud of.
I’ve been out of work for more than two years. I’m a seasoned creative director in the advertising and marketing industries, and I'm actively pursuing opportunities every day. I feel like I've hit a wall that I can't get through. It's so frustrating. And despite interviews, freelance gigs, and relentless effort seven days a week, we’ve reached a point where survival has become the priority.
We lost our house when the pandemic hit. Since then, we’ve been renting — trying to rebuild, trying to stay stable. But now we’re months behind on rent and out of options.
Here’s the reality we’re facing
We’re months behind on rent ($3,100/month), and eviction and homelessness are now a real possibility. Our utilities are in danger of being shut off — including electricity, heat, and internet. Our car is undrivable and urgently needs repairs to get us to interviews, jobs, the grocery store and doctor appointments.
Most urgently: Our son’s tuition bill of $11,000 is due. If we don’t pay it, we're afraid he won’t be able to stay in school to continue his education and football career. He shouldn't have to worry about this.
About Our Son
Our son is a standout — not just to us as parents, but to everyone who knows him. He’s entering his sophomore year in a competitive Physician Assistant medical program and maintaining a solid 3.4 GPA, all while being a standout athlete on his college football team.
He’s doing everything right — working hard in his classes and on the field, staying focused, showing up with integrity. We’re determined to do whatever it takes to keep him on this path, but we simply can’t do it alone anymore.
How You Can Help
We’re trying to raise $25,000, which will cover:
$11,000 in tuition to keep our son in school
$6,200 for two months of back rent
$2,500 for critical car repairs
$3,000 for utilities, groceries, and immediate essentials
$2,300 buffer for GoFundMe fees and unexpected needs
Every dollar helps. Whether it’s $10, $100, or more — it all adds up and makes a huge difference. And if you’re not in a position to give, sharing this campaign with your network is just as powerful. We can't possibly thank you enough.
Why This Matters
Our family is doing everything we can to bounce back, and we know brighter days are ahead. But we need a lifeline right now. Your kindness can help us stabilize, keep our son in school, and buy us time to get back on our feet.
We’ve always believed in community, in generosity, and in second chances. We’re humbly asking for all three today.
