Tawana Davis is a friend of mine through Sydney's basketball team. She and her daughters lost everything in an apartment fire the day they moved in. They had just finished moving their belongings into the apartment when the fire broke out, leaving them with only the clothes on their backs. Their family dog was found by firefighters hiding in a closet, unable to escape due to smoke inhalation. Thankfully, the dog was rescued, but the family lost all of their possessions.

The good news is that Tawana has insurance and is working through the claims process, but it will take time for her and her girls to get back on their feet. I'm hoping to help them bridge the gap by raising funds for basic necessities like clothes, toiletries, shoes, linen, and food. They have to start from scratch, and every bit of support will make a difference as they rebuild their lives.
