Support Tammy Denlinger's Mission to Uganda

Donation protected
As Tammy's doctoral studies in nursing near completion, she hopes to participate in a University of San Diego-led multidisciplinary project in January, intending to improve access to healthcare and sanitation infrastructure in Southwestern Uganda.

The project aims to assist that nation in achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by widening access to clean water and sanitation and by ending preventable deaths of newborns and children under five years of age.

The program also makes on-the-ground contributions to health/education outcomes at Holy Innocents Children’s Hospital in Mbarara.

Additionally, Nurse Practitioner students from the USD School of Nursing will accompany a multidisciplinary group of faculty members and learn from Ugandan faculty and professionals through lectures, tours, and observational experiences.

The University-sponsored program seeks student-volunteers who are on the verge of graduation and who can do their own fundraising to make the trip possible.

Your support will help cover the significant travel-related expenses that students will incur to make the mission possible.

Tammy is very excited about this opportunity. "We are so blessed to live where we do and have access to the medical care we need," she says. "So much of the rest of the world does not. Helping in even just the smallest way is an honor."
