On February 14, 2025, we received the devastating news that my wife, Tammy, had colorectal cancer. To say our world stopped spinning would be an understatement.
On March 19, 2025, she underwent surgery to remove the cancerous tumor, which required a resection of her colon. Unfortunately, there was a slight complication that resulted in her needing an ileostomy. The biopsy of the tumor indicated that it was on the cusp of stage 3. The good news is that the ileostomy is reversible, and Tammy will be scheduled to have it reversed sometime in July or August after she completes her chemotherapy. Chemotherapy hasn’t been easy on Tammy; it has left her with little energy or appetite since starting the treatments.
Before all of this, Tammy was an outgoing and active person who loved playing outside with her grandbabies; she truly enjoyed living life to the fullest. Tammy has been out of work since March 18, 2025, and she isn’t going back until she heals from her reversal surgery.
We are fundraising to help cover the medical expenses and support Tammy during her recovery
