Support Tammy and Ken's Recovery After Medical Crises

Hi, I am fundraising for my parents, Tammy and Ken Smith, because they have been going through it for the last six months and could really use some help. Six months ago, Tammy had a urgent + emergent medical need that took away her ability to work while recovering. Luckily, they were able to use Short Term Disability to be able to pay the bills during this time.

Then, as Tammy was nearly able to return to work, she experienced a loss of conciousness that led to a fall where she broke her back. Because this happened on the tail of the her medical leave, she was not able to file for Short Term Disability again.

They have exhausted all financial resources and are now struggling to make it month to month. Luckily, Tammy was finally able to have surgery this past week and is on her way to recovering but it is quite a process and they have a few more months of financial struggle to get through before they can get back on their feet.
