My name is Tameka, I'm living in the USA, but my family (including my mother, father, brother, aunt, cousins, nephew and niece) lives in Jamaica. On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa ravaged through my community of Water Works in Jamaica. I was unable to communicate with my family for days. They are without electricity, and that has affected the water supply and telecommunications. The infrastructure is drastically impacted throughout the community. Homes are physically damaged, and although temporary measures have been taken to secure the structures, rehabilitation will be necessary urgently.

I'm worried about the later impact on food, water, and other basic needs. I am going buy essential supplies such as water, non-perishable items, bleach and household items to distribute in the community. Please help me to help my community as they try to rebuild. Jamaica stronger together!
