Support Tamara & Family After Brutal Car Accident

Donation protected
On January 10th, 2025 @ 7:52 am, my best friend Tamara Crabbe was in a horrific car accident that closed down the highway in both directions near Monte Creek, British Columbia. Tamara was working when a 5 ton truck crossed over the line into Tamaras lane. With winter conditions and no time to react the 5 ton truck hit Tamaras truck head on which sent her truck rolling 3 times down a steep embankment. Tamara has been in the hospital since and has not yet been able to go home to her family.

Tamara has suffered internal bleeding which required a blood transfusion, 2 lacerations on her spleen which needed a procedure to be repaired, broken ribs, bruised lungs, surgery on her pelvic socket/hip as it was broken, seat belt bruising and some cuts an bruises on her forehead, arms and hands. The procedure on her spleen was done in the Kamloops hospital but she needed to be flown to Vancouver to get the surgery done on her pelvic socket/hip. Tamara spent 9 days in Vancouver before being transferred back to the hospital in Kamloops. We have since found out that Tamara also has a concussion as well as multiple fractures in her spine.

Tamara's wife Nash has been unable to work since the accident so that she could be by Tamara's side when she needed her the most. Tamara has been fighting through flashbacks and nightmares of the accident and has been having a very hard time coping with the terrifying events that she's now been through.

Since the accident, Tamara has not been able to return home to her two very loved dogs and a youth (family friend) who they are currently housing. Since Tamara has been in the hospital she has been unable to work and so has her wife. This means that their bills will be piling up and that they will need financial help to get through. They need to have one of their vehicles fixed and back on the road to help with any upcoming appointments Tamara will need and for when Nash returns to work. For now Nash will be needed by Tamara's side for the things that she will need and the help that she will need at home. Tamara's life has now changed for the rest of her life and they will need a lot of things to change in their home and every day life, which all adds up in the end.

Tamara and her family would be forever grateful for any help they can receive.
