Suzanne’s Cancer Journey
On May 29, 2025, Suzanne was diagnosed with Stage III endometrial cancer. Just days later, on June 9, she underwent an emergency radical hysterectomy. Shortly after, she began an aggressive treatment plan—six rounds of chemotherapy starting July 28—with the hope that five weeks of radiation would follow and then treatments would be complete.

Unfortunately, on December 23, 2025, Sarah and Suzanne received devastating news. The cancer had spread to Suzanne’s armpit lymph node, in addition to pelvic and abdominal lymph nodes. This new finding advanced her diagnosis to Stage IVB endometrial cancer, indicating distant spread. At the same time, doctors discovered a separate and independent ovarian cancer.

As a result, Suzanne had a new chemotherapy port placed and resumed chemotherapy on January 13, 2026. She is now facing another six rounds of chemo, along with a newly introduced immunotherapy drug given with each infusion. This treatment is intended to slow the progression of the disease and help extend Suzanne’s time with better health and quality of life. Radiation is no longer an option.

In approximately five weeks, Suzanne will return to MD Anderson for additional scans to determine whether the current treatment is slowing the spread of cancer. Her prognosis is sobering: a 5–15% five-year survival rate, with an estimated life expectancy of 2–3 years.

They are already eight months into this journey.

While they do remain hopeful and determined to exceed expectations, they are also realistic. This season is about cherishing time, creating memories, and celebrating life while Suzanne still has more good days than bad. Your support helps ease the financial burden of ongoing treatments, travel, and medical expenses—and allows them to focus on what matters most: time together.

Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting Suzanne in any way you can.
