Hi Everyone!
This is Susan, in the photo, and she has just celebrated three years of sobriety along with her 66th birthday. She has been riding a pedal bike for the entire three years; however, a few months ago, sadly, she lost one of her best sober friends. She was gifted his spectacular E-bike you see in the photo, and she was so happy. She could now get groceries, get to work, and get to her AA meetings much more easily.
As her sponsor, I have seen her struggle through very difficult times with gratitude and grace. For example, in the Phoenix area, we were having torrential downpours. She would call me, laughing about how she rode to work in the pouring rain and arrived at work, and had to work all day soaked to the bone; she would end it with the gratitude of having her deceased friend's E-bike. Now, I don't know about you, but that is a GOOD attitude!
On her 66th birthday, her E-bike was stolen. She was very, very sad, but mostly because she felt a closeness to her friend on that bike. Her heart was broken, she said, but also maybe God was protecting her somehow.
She is working full-time at a t-shirt printing shop, and she is also an assistant manager at her sober house.
Please help to surprise her with some donations. We can give a hand up to a very hard-working, sober, and positive member of our community who is much in need.
Any donation for Susan is accepted with gratitude.
Sincerely,
Julia Wood
