Support Supplies for School Kids in Tanzania

Hi! I'm Julia Klar and I recently graduated from Tulane University. I'll be traveling to the Uru community in Tanzania soon to teach with the Neema International Program at Uru Community Schools!

The Uru community faces significant challenges, especially for its children. Your support truly makes a world of difference in their lives. With your help, we can provide essentials such as clothes, hygiene products, and school supplies—items that we often take for granted but mean everything to them. Every donation will contribute directly to filling as many bags as possible with supplies I will take with me.

70% of all students in Tanzania drop out after primary school, and 1 in every 4 girls under 18 begin child bearing. Access to quality education has the power to transform lives and break the cycle of poverty and inequality, particularly in communities like Uru where basic resources and opportunities are scarce, specifically for the girls.
