Support Sue's Care and Housing Needs

Hi, my name is Glenn. My mother, Sue, who will be turning 81 this coming July 5th, carried a full-time job and lived on her own until December of 2024. My mother has had heart issues for years and is currently suffering from A-fib. In mid-2024, she began to show signs of dementia and testing was begun. In Dec of 2024, she had an event with her heart, and it set her dementia into overdrive. She was forced to retire and had to move into my home as she could no longer be left on her own at all. I was forced to give up my job and become her full-time caregiver as I am her only option.

We seem to be stuck in limbo between her not being able to be on her own but not quite meeting the state requirements for assistance. Her social security she receives barely covers the bills she has, not to mention the new medical ones that occur now. Housing and household expenses have become our biggest and most urgent issue. Myself not working, due to being her caregiver 24/7, has put us behind months on rent, to the point of facing eviction. Funds gathered would be used to catch up on rent ($1700/monthly, three months behind). Utilities are $500 a month (1 month behind). Miscellaneous expenses (food mainly) run about $500 monthly.
