What Is the Eagle Scout Rank?

The Eagle Scout rank is the highest honor awarded in Scouting America and is achieved by only about 6–7% of Scouts nationwide. Earning this rank reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and leadership development. From learning foundational skills as a Scout to leading others as a Life Scout, the path to Eagle instills values such as integrity, responsibility, and service, principles that guide Scouts throughout their lives.

What Is an Eagle Scout Service Project?

An Eagle Scout Service Project is a Scout-led initiative designed to benefit the community. Each project requires careful planning, leadership, and execution, as the Scout organizes volunteers, manages resources, and sees the project through from start to finish. This project is not only a way to give back, but also an opportunity to demonstrate the leadership, problem-solving, and commitment expected of an Eagle Scout.

What Is My Eagle Scout Service Project?

For my Eagle Scout Service Project, I am partnering with the Trinity Center in Walnut Creek, California, a local organization that supports individuals experiencing homelessness. My project focuses on creating 50 warm tie blankets to provide comfort and warmth to unhoused individuals in our community. To complete this project, I am fundraising to purchase fleece fabric needed to make the blankets. Donations of supplies are also greatly appreciated, including fleece fabric measuring at least 3 x 4 feet Every contribution, monetary or material will directly support this effort and help provide warmth to those in need. Our goal is to reach $1000 dollars and every dollar counts!
