Help Strong Paws Rescue Keep Rolling: We Need a Vehicle to Save More Lives!
Goal: $70,000
Hi, I’m Meagan—Utica,NY native, rescue founder, and full-time volunteer behind Strong Paws Rescue. We’re a foster-based, volunteer-run dog rescue working tirelessly to save dogs at risk of euthanasia in the South and find them loving homes the New York region. We also operate a free community pet pantry that delivers food and supplies to families in need—mainly in the Bronx—so they can keep their beloved pets at home and out of the shelter system.
Here’s the challenge:
Right now, we’re doing everything out of our personal vehicles. My car alone has over 160,000 miles on it from rescue runs, food deliveries, and emergency vet transports. Between ongoing repairs and limited cargo space, we’re hitting a wall—and it’s holding us back from helping more dogs and families. We currently have over 350 families on our pantry waitlist, and we simply can’t meet the need without better transportation.
We’re raising $70,000 to purchase a reliable, used SUV (ideally a Toyota 4Runner or similar), cover insurance, and establish a vehicle repair fund to keep our rescue operations rolling.
Every dollar helps:
$25 fills a gas tank for a rescue run
$100 helps cover insurance or registration fees
$500 supports major vehicle repairs or down payment
$1,000 brings us closer to purchasing the rescue vehicle we desperately need
This rescue is built on the heart and hustle of volunteers—and the generosity of our community. If you’ve ever fostered, donated, shared a post, or cheered on one of our dogs, you are a part of this village. We can’t do this without you.
Please consider donating, sharing, or spreading the word. Let’s keep Strong Paws on the road, saving lives and supporting families.
With gratitude,
Meagan & the Strong Paws Rescue team
