On 1st October 2024, a team from Stroma Building Control will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge—a demanding 39.2km (24.5-mile) hike across the stunning peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. We’re not just walking for the challenge; we’re walking to raise awareness and funds for the Christoforos Charity Foundation (CCF), an organisation close to our hearts.

The Christoforos Charity Foundation was set up following the tragic loss of 15-year-old Christoforos, a bright, kind-hearted boy who became a victim of harmful online content. While the internet can be a useful tool, it also harbours dangerous and deceptive websites that can ensnare young, vulnerable individuals like Christoforos.

Through CCF, his family is dedicated to raising awareness about the risks that children and young adults face online. CCF encourages young people to engage in real-world activities that foster personal connections, helping them to step away from the dangerous hooks of harmful online platforms.
