Faculty and academic support professionals at Eastern Illinois University have been bargaining for over a year and working without a contract since August 2022. In March, 97% of voting members authorized a strike for salary and workload improvements that will better support EIU students. The strike began on April 6, 2023.

UPDATE: The strike has been suspended as of April 13, after the parties reached a tentative agreement.

Donated funds will be used for:

* Support for striking workers facing financial hardships

* Supplies needed to keep striking workers safe and inclement weather supplies

* Sustenance for strikers and volunteers
