Support Stranahan Forest Trail Improvements
Donation protected

The Stranahan Forest Stewardship Committee needs your help! We've raised about $65,000 in federal funds to repair and improve the Thompson Road, the main trail bisecting the Stranahan Forest in Marshfield. But we need to quickly raise about $6,000 in required matching funds, so that the work on this vital trail can be completed. The work began this week, and should be completed by the end of November. This trail has been wet, muddy and sometimes impassable for years - these major repairs and improvements will make our town forest a more enjoyable place to walk, hike, bike, ski and snowmobile for years to come. Please make a contribution - any amount helps. All funds will go to the town of Marshfield, to cover the match required by FEMA, one of our federal sources of funds. These funds will then be used to pay the contractor doing the work on the trail.

Local artist Susan Abbott has generously donated a beautiful painting of the Moon field, (shown above) valued at $1,250. When we've reached our goal, we'll put the names of all donors who have given $200 or more in a hat, and draw the winner of this painting.
