Stonehaven Studios is proud to present the 2nd Annual Afrofuturist Art Fairs, a week-long community arts showcase taking place across Burbank and Inglewood in celebration of Juneteenth. Each event is thoughtfully designed as a guided experience, featuring curated programming from start to finish. We encourage audiences to arrive on time for free prizes, engaging with all our offerings, and fostering deeper connections.

This year, we are expanding our vision to make the Afrofuturist Art Fairs even more accessible and impactful. Funds raised will help Stonehaven Studios cover essential costs like catering, marketing, and venue rentals, support equitable artist stipends, as well as ensure that more patrons and performers can participate. By supporting this fundraiser, you are helping us create a vibrant, inclusive space where creativity and community thrive. Rooted in the principles of Sankofa, Afrofuturism's cultural aesthetics braid the intersections of art, science, and technology. These immersive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences invite everyone into a philosophy that marries artistry with social progress.

Monday, June 15: Join us in the creation of an intersectional and idealistic future at our 2nd Annual Afrofuturist Art Fair: Industry Night Celebration. This kick-off event will honor the innovation, artistry, and storytelling of global-majority creative communities.

Saturday, June 20: After the holiday, bring the whole family for a joyful, hands-on celebration of creativity at the Afrofuturist Art Fair at Willie Agee Playhouse in Inglewood, CA from 12-4pm on Saturday, June 20! This daytime event is designed especially for children, teens, and multigenerational families. We're offering an interactive environment, including coloring, comics, and interactive games where multicultural imagination leads the way.

Through artistry, activities, and play, all participants can enjoy the innovative spirit of Afrofuturism as a trauma-informed, social-emotional framework for reclaiming self-expression and building interpersonal, marketable skills. Participants of our self-paced visual art workshop will have the opportunity to exhibit and market their work at both events! Feel free to contact us with any questions or submissions!
