Support Stevie! (vet bills, moving expenses, cost-of-living)

Donation protected
After six years of unparalleled stability, Stevie's current living situation is coming to an amicable end. The financial assistance from a former partner has been integral in Stevie's ability to heal, find answers about why they struggle where others don't, and develop the necessary skills and systems to accommodate for those struggles. Thankfully, they have a new supportive living arrangement to move on to where they will be able to continue their journey and become responsible for their own bills.

While they do not have to move immediately, they do need to pay their full share of bills starting in May. They do have small fixed income that is not enough to cover the day-to-day as well as emergent costs of moving and a sick kitty.

Three months of storage unit fees and rental truck costs are estimated to be near $1000 on their own.

Additional surprise costs have also popped up recently, While bending over, their glasses fell off their face and broke. They've been temporarily fixed but will not hold very long. Due to skin sensitivities and migraines, glasses cannot be purchased without trying them on. Their best option is likely Warby Parker which would cost $95.

On a much sadder note, Stevie will have to put to rest their de facto emotional support pet of nearly 14 years in the next week, as Floyd’s condition quickly worsens.

Times of change are especially hard for Stevie and this increased financial and emotional stress could not have come at a worse time. $350 in emergency vet costs and estimated euthanasia costs are around $420.

While their living situation has afforded them stability and financial support, the full debt accrued amounts to 18,000 since early 2020, much has to still be repaid at $485/month.

Other things that would be helpful for Stevie would include folks being willing to take on recurring monthly bills and utilities for a while- list incoming.

Itemized list of expenses etc. also incoming for transparency.

"When Stevie has had moments of living outside survival mode, they have been an integral part in building safety and community for their friends and family. They often would go out of their way and push the limits of their pain threshold to make sure their friends are taken care of and feel loved. They would give you the clothes off their back and the last morsels of food in their fridge if you needed it. As a friend of Stevie for more than 8 years, we have seen how they show up for others and hope that our community can show up for them in their time of need!" -Stevie’s friend Kale
