Support Steven Gregg's Recovery and Treatment Journey

Hello! My name is Cassi, and I’m fundraising for my dad, Steven Gregg.

On the morning of April 23rd, my dad was working his usual overnight shift at Circle K, something he’s done for almost 40 years, when he was assaulted during a robbery. He was taken to the hospital with a fractured hip. While he was admitted to the hospital, he was able to have some of his other health concerns addressed, which led to even more devastating news: my dad has esophageal cancer.

It’s been a lot to process. One minute we were focused on his injury, and the next we were talking about cancer treatments and recovery plans. Right now, my dad can’t work, and we don’t know when or if he’ll be able to return. He’s facing a long road of healing and treatment, and in the meantime, he simply doesn’t have the means to keep up with his everyday bills, things like rent, utilities, and groceries.

If you know my dad, you know he can be a little gruff and grumbly, and he’d probably roll his eyes at me calling him a “grumpy old man” (even though it’s kinda true!). But underneath that, he’s one of the most loyal, kindhearted people I know. He’s always been there for others, whether by helping out any way that he can, being a listening ear, or just being that steady, familiar face at Circle K that so many in the community know.

Now he needs people to be there for him, and that’s not something he’s ever been good at asking for. That’s why I’m asking. We’re trying to raise enough to cover his basic living expenses while he focuses on healing. Any amount, no matter how small, would help take a little bit of the weight off his shoulders during this really difficult time.
