I am Christina Nation and I have the most wonderful brother Steve (I call him Stevie) Jeffers. He is one of the best humans I know, with the biggest heart. If you need any kind of help; moving, a few bucks, help with house repairs, you're stranded somewhere or even when you need help out of a bad relationship, he is the first one to be there volunteering his time, energy and even money when he has it.
Now he needs help. Life has been rough for him and his family for many years and to cope, he turned to alcohol. Over the last few years, alcohol has taken quite the hold of him. Over the last year, he has given it his best effort to try and quit on his own. He is more depressed than I have ever seen anyone and doesn't have the energy to even do daily tasks. Over the last month, he was in a terrible accident causing him to have a concussion and bruised ribs. It was to the point where we were all very worried that we might lose him more than we already had. He is not one to ask for or even accept help.
Over the last week or so, we have had many conversations and he has acknowledged and accepted that he cannot do this on his own. Steve and his wife Renee are working diligently with his doctors and insurance company to find the right fit for him to go to rehab.
Steve owns his own flooring business and his wife owns her own business as a personal trainer. With him being away for rehab, they will need help with every month expenses. There are many ways I am unable to help but this one way I know if I could help alleviate some of the financial hardship, he can focus on recovery and not have to worry about his wife's wellbeing or losing their home.
If you are able to help financially, it would be greatly appreciated. If you cannot help financially, please pray for Steve and his family through this difficult time.
