❤️Many of you know Steph. She was in a car accident at 5 months old. The brain injury has been a lifelong journey, but she is absolutely as sweet as they make 'em!!! This girl is loved by everyone.

This week, the unthinkable happened & life has changed forever. We tragically received a cancer diagnosis. It has eaten away & softened bone material throughout her body. There are multiple lesions all over her pelvis, spine, and skull. The pelvis alone has 10 holes.

Three weeks ago, she was walking fine. One day, she woke up with a significant limp, but verbal skills are hindered from the brain injury. She wasn't able to communicate if she fell or if anything happened. So, we treated it with a heating pad. A couple of weeks in, she didn't seem to be improving. Days later, she had a very peculiar hip movement with each step. She immediately went for an x-ray that revealed nothing. A couple of days later, she couldn't walk or even stand up. A wheelchair became an emergency as pain became excruciating & unbearable. That was last Saturday, 07/12/2025. She spent her 45th birthday in the hospital.

After a CT scan w/ contrast revealed a nightmare none of us were prepared for, the bone and bone marrow biopsy confirmed myeloma.

Surgery is scheduled today, 07/19/2025. An Orthopedic Oncologist will position hardware to strengthen the hip where the largest portion of bone is missing. That's just one of many locations where bone matter is missing. This surgery is an effort to prevent fracture but get her back on her feet.

These are hard times for everyone & I get that. Humbly, we are asking for help. A minivan is desperately needed NOW to transport her. Future days hold weekly treatments for the rest of her life. She will be required to travel to a clinic in another town once a week. The specialist that will give her medication in the clinic says Steph can live with this for decades with treatment. The most pressing need is adequate transportation.
