Hi All,

Since today marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I’ll be hosting a fundraiser to raise money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and honor our heroes and their families.

Tunnel to Towers supports first responders, veterans, and their families in a number of ways, including providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families, building specially adapted homes for injured veterans and first responders, and helping provide educational opportunities for their children.

This foundation is especially close to my heart. My family has participated in the Tunnel to Towers 5K for years because their mission has had a very real impact on us personally. My dad was a 9/11 first responder and has dealt with long-term disability and serious health issues from his time working at Ground Zero.

Organizations like Tunnel to Towers have helped families like mine navigate some of the lasting effects of 9/11. Their support has helped my dad continue to enjoy life despite everything he has been through, and it also played a role in helping my sister and I attend college debt-free.
