Please help our family raise funds needed to relocate and reunite our niece, Stephanie Murillo, and her 3 children, Brandon (age 13), Cesar (age 8), and Ailane (3 weeks old) with her husband. After her husband was recently deported to Mexico, Stephanie was left to care for her 3 children alone without any source of income. She is struggling financially but afraid to leave her home due to the threat of being taken by ICE and separated from her children.

Our family is facing the challenge of needing to support multiple family members across the border financially during this harsh political and economic climate and we are asking for the support of a wider community at this time to keep our niece and her children safe and reunite them with family in Mexico.

Stephanie and her older children are in the United States on the humanitarian parole status. Like many of our family members, her dream was for herself and her children to live with her husband who worked in the United States. However, parents with this temporary status are not truly protected from deportation and cruel separation from their children. Our family does not wish to see any more families, including our own, be subjected to this injustice. Your support in getting funds to Stephanie to make her relocation will make a direct impact.

In our family, fathers, brothers, grandfather, and great grandfathers have immigrated as workers, including as "legal" guest workers going back many generations, as far back as the 1920s. However, due to the racist policies of this country, these hardworking ancestors and their families have rarely been offered a dignified path to citizenship or even residence by any administration, let alone this one. This means many generations of families being separated by the border.

This mutual aid campaign has a modest goal which will be enough to transport Stephanie and her three kids to our family's home in Guanajuato, Mexico by road as she is wary of traveling by air due to the young age of her newborn daughter. We appreciate any and all support from our friends and community at this time.

Thank you.
