The homelessness in Stamford, CT is as real and bitter as the cold we are facing this winter. I want to help make a difference for this community because they matter. They don't have, what for many of us, is an afterthought day to day-- a roof over their head. With the help of like-minded individuals, who care, we can make a difference.
With the funds, I would like to take real-time action, purchasing hand and foot warmers, clothing, food, blankets, and anything that would help those who are either not welcome or that shelters in our area do not have the space for. Over time, I would like to provide this community with educational resources and job information as a start. I believe that by coming together, we can offer both immediate relief and hope for a brighter future.
I am just a girl in Stamford, Connecticut that can't ignore the growing need of support for individuals battling homelessness. They are here, they are human, and they matter. Their physical and mental health matters, they just need true support from those of us who care about their future. Somewhere along the road, someone gave up on them, but I am here to show and share with them, that they are worthy. If you feel moved to help, please join me in making a difference—every act of kindness counts.
