Stafford Muslim Community Center is a register Charity in UK (Charity number: 1087413 Gift Aid: EW01098).

My name is Dr. Muhammad Gul, and I am a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Midlands Partnership University Foundation NHS Trust, as well as the Director of Medical Education and a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Since moving to Stafford in 2012 from London, I have witnessed the remarkable growth of our community. Currently, we have a small prayer hall on the Industrial Estate that accommodates limited number, with no parking space and limited access for individuals with disabilities and women. As our community flourishes, it is clear that our current facility is not sufficient to meet our expanding needs.

Today, I appeal to you on behalf of the Stafford Muslim Community Centre, a beacon of hope and support for many individuals and families. This center stands as a vital resource, offering community, belonging, and opportunity during challenging times.

We believe in the strength of our community and the power of togetherness. However, like many charitable organizations, we face significant financial challenges.

We desperately need your help to secure a property that will serve our community for years to come, providing space for worship, education, and youth events. We envision a place that offers free meals to the local community, regardless of race, religion, or cultural background, along with free healthcare checks from community members dedicated to health. Our goal is to host sessions on preventable diseases and mental health education to uplift and inform our community.

We have already raised £200,000 and have secured the property, but we urgently need £150,000 to make it habitable for immediate use, along with an additional £200,000 to make the final payment to the vendor within 12 months.
