Support Stacy: A Heartfelt Call for Help

Stacy Roll Page is my cousin and my lifelong friend. We grew up together, went all through school together, and, as adults, we were even roommates for a few years. Stacy has always been a hard-working, giving, and selfless person. I have always admired and respected her. In recent years, she has, unfortunately, suffered from debilitating illnesses, multiple surgeries, chronic pain, and has had to go on disability, reluctantly giving up her 31-year nursing career.

Stacy has also suffered heartbreaking personal losses, as well. Last year, her husband left her after 24 years of marriage, taking over 70% of their household income with him, along with secondary health insurance benefits that Stacy relied on. She is currently living on Medicare/Social Security disability that is the equivalent of minimum wage.

Nine months ago, Stacy’s beloved mom, Karen Hite Roll, passed away after an extended illness. This has been a devastating loss for her.

Besides her own medical bills, Stacy has had thousands of dollars of veterinarian bills to pay for emergency surgeries and cancer care for her two of her four dogs. Sammy, Tommy, BJ, and Ollie are not just her companions; they are like her children.

I am sharing Stacy’s recent hardships because I understand that she is struggling with serious financial difficulties right now. I am asking friends and family to donate what you can to ease Stacy’s burdens. This is a very tangible way we can help her in a time of need. We may not be able to heal her body, her broken heart, or take away her grief, but we can show our love and support by lifting her up financially.
