Support St. Helena: Donate to Lyman Park Initiative

The Lyman Park Initiative is a community-driven effort to reimagine the heart of St. Helena—transforming historic Lyman Park and the old City Hall property into a vibrant open plaza and landmark Cultural Center, much like the town squares of Sonoma and Healdsburg.

Instead of a proposed 3-story hotel on the old City Hall site—which would overshadow the park and compete with existing hotels—our vision creates lasting value for residents and visitors alike. Imagine a modern library and AI learning center, rooftop café lounge, art and music salons, pop-up museums, recreation and wellness programs, and year-round cultural events—all in one inviting community space.

At the same time, St. Helena faces a serious financial crisis, with projected deficits of $5–8 million annually due to long-underfunded city operations. The real solution is not a small hotel downtown, but a new luxury resort at the Adams property—an opportunity that could generate five times more revenue than the City Hall hotel, bringing in up to $125 million over 20 years. Nearby towns like Yountville and Calistoga have secured their futures this way; now it’s our turn.

We are launching this fundraiser now because critical City Council decisions are approaching. Your support will directly fund outreach essentials—printing, postage, signs, postcards, advertising, website development, and booth costs. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us share the vision, rally the community, and build a welcoming center that strengthens St. Helena for generations to come.
