Hello!

My name is Joey Dooling, and I am a Boy Scout working toward my Eagle Rank. For my Eagle Project, I am partnering with St. Ann’s in Coppell to expand their outdoor seating area by adding a pergola and a gravel space. This project will create a more inviting environment and enhance a space that many in the St. Ann’s community already enjoy. Any funds raised beyond what is needed will go directly back to benefit St. Ann’s. Please read My Story below and How You Can Make a Difference!

Why I'm Doing This?

I am a cradle Catholic who joined St. Ann's High School Ministry four years ago. I was someone who didn't care about my faith. When I attended their youth nights, I kind of wanted to go, but I wasn't there for God. I was there for the free food, and later the friends. I wasn't interested in Jesus and I was just going through the motions. That changed when I went on a mission trip with them down to Laredo, Texas and came back a different person. While I was there I met people who lived their faith and loved their faith. I learned to love the Lord, and how to truly live Catholic. I came off that mission trip wanting to go to Mass, wanting to pray, and wanting Jesus. St. Ann's through their community, their retreats, mission trips, and events is the reason I am Catholic and love the Lord. I am deeply grateful for all this community has given me, and this project is my way of giving back.

Why This Matters

Let’s be honest, everyone needs a place to belong. St. Ann’s is that place for me, and for so many others who are searching for connection. The new pergola will create a space where teens, families, and anyone in the community can gather, feel welcome, and build real friendships. Supporting this project means you’re helping create a safe, inviting spot for fellowship and faith. Plus, you get bragging rights for making a real difference (and maybe your name on a plaque).
