S. is a beloved community member and a fierce advocate for the undocumented community, she has fought for many years for a cause that directly impacts her. S. has also been the primary caretaker for her mother who has severe visual impairments and other health complications.

After months of medical complications which forced her to take a break from organizing, she recently received a diagnosis for cancer and is undergoing treatment.

She is the owner of a small business in the city, where she makes her livelihood. She has been able to keep her shop running despite her health complications, but is uncertain about the future. She is requesting support with paying rent for 6 months of her business and to pay for her housing given the time she will need to recovery.
