Support NDL Radio3.0 in Informing and Educating Its Audience: Empowering Integration, Education, and Unity

We, the Haitian community of Springfield, NDL Community Center and Journalists, are launching this GoFundMe campaign to fight against misinformation and promote understanding and education in our city. Recent harmful allegations against our community have spread false narratives, claiming that Haitians are eating pets and dogs—a statement that is not only untrue but also deeply offensive and dangerous.

Why We Need Your Support:
Misinformation has a powerful and harmful impact. It creates division, fuels xenophobia, and tarnishes the reputation of hardworking people. Our goal with this campaign is to push back against these damaging falsehoods and bring the truth to light. We aim to:

Educate the public about Haitian culture and our contributions to Springfield.
Combat misinformation by creating resources, events, and outreach programs that engage both the Haitian and broader Springfield communities.
Promote unity and respect by building bridges of understanding between different cultures and communities.

How Your Donation Will Help:
With your support, we will be able to:

  • Host educational workshops for Haitian residents and Springfield locals to better understand each other's cultures.
  • Produce community events to showcase Haitian culture, food, art, and history, strengthening the bond between our community and the city.
  • Create digital and print resources to dispel falsehoods and highlight the positive contributions Haitians make to Springfield.
  • Support a media campaign through NDL and local outlets to ensure responsible reporting and amplify the truth.

Key Outcomes:
  • Empowerment through Education: The driving courses, cultural adaptation workshops, and translated documents will help Haitians integrate more easily, while also ensuring they follow local laws and norms.
  • Economic Contribution: Through targeted employment and volunteer programs, Haitian residents can help fill resource gaps in Springfield’s workforce.
  • Community Integration: By fostering interactions between Haitian and non-Haitian residents through mentorship and cultural events, we’ll promote mutual understanding and reduce tensions.
  • Overpopulation Support: Engaging in housing support and contributing human resources will help Springfield deal with overpopulation pressures while integrating the Haitian community into city services.

This action plan balances the needs of the Haitian community with those of Springfield, ensuring mutual benefits and long-term success.

Together, We Can Make a Difference:
Your contribution, no matter the size, will help us counter harmful narratives, create unity, and foster mutual understanding. Let's work together to make Springfield a place where truth prevails and all communities are respected.

Thank you for standing with us. Together, we will ensure that misinformation is replaced with education, and fear with understanding.
