Good day neighbors, Spiky Mikie here. As many of you know, I've been providing weather updates for our group for 7-8 years now. I've always believed in serving something greater than myself (8-year USAF vet). I believe the best way to strengthen a community is through helping the people in that community. And, well, y'all are my neighbors, and that's what neighbors do.

And while knowing that I have helped is a great reward in itself, it doesn't pay for the equipment I need to continue to do this. Neither does a Social Security check (yeah, I'm old). So, I'm asking for your help. My computer is ten years old and is hanging on by a thread, and my weather station is held together with bubble gum at this point. I need to upgrade to better equipment and possibly add power backup so I can stay online when the power goes out (y'all know what I'm talking about) to provide better, more timely updates for DeKalb County. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated!
