Rally With the Rapids is a hands-on learning initiative run by students in the Sport Facility and Event Management Class (SPM 376) at Grand Valley State University. It is an opportunity for Sport Management students to raise money for the Special Olympics of Michigan. This year, we are partnering with the Grand Rapids Gold to bring an elevated and exciting experience to the community, combining professional basketball with student-led initiatives.

Rally With the Rapids is a long-standing tradition dedicated to raising funds for Special Olympics Michigan. Now in its seventh year, the event not only supports an incredible cause, but also creates lasting memories for the athletes, spectators, and everyone involved. Over time, it has become a cherished part of the GVSU community, bringing together students, faculty, alumni, and local supporters who look forward to it year after year!
