Help our South East Fresno DI team make it to China!!

Hi, my name is Meghan (Miss Meghan) and I live and work in South East Fresno. My current life focus is giving kids in my community access to opportunities and experiences that they might not otherwise get. Right now that is done through my work in after school program, running a free cheer program, and coaching the STEAM competition Destination Imagination. I have plans to start a non-profit eventually, but there’s so much that needs to be done in the meantime.

Destination Imagination is the reason we’re here today. My team the “Krabbie Baddies” took second in their division at state finals last year and we made it all the way to global finals! We were the only team in the entire San Joaquin Valley region that went. A south east Fresno team represented the entire San Joaquin Valley! Now this is even bigger, the KB have been offered the chance to go to CHINA as one of two teams from California- so they have the chance to represent the neighborhood, city, valley, and now the entire state of California!

The problem: We can’t afford to go. The families on our team can’t afford to send us, and we are not associated with any school or district, so no access to funding. 

The solution: We started this campaign and will be crowd funding and fundraising like crazy to make this happen.

These kids have worked SO hard, are super smart and talented, and they truly deserve this opportunity. So please help us make it happen!!

*If the fundraising goal is reached, we will raise it and apply it to global finals next year! :)
