Hello! My name is Sue and I’m sponsoring this GoFundMe campaign for the South County Resistance, a Rhode Island group of 1.4K concerned citizens that’s growing with each rally! We need your help!

The Trump administration continues to act illegally and unconstitutionally in ways that weaken our democratic institutions, slow our economy, roll back protections for public health and the environment, put health care and Social Security benefits at risk, and disregard our country’s laws and judicial systems.

We’re witnessing intentional executive overreach and attempts to erode our much-cherished and Constitutionally-guaranteed rights. We want our voices to be heard as part of a growing national pushback.

What is South County Resistance?

We're a grassroots, community-based network in southern Rhode Island committed to:

• The values of democracy – including the rule of law, checks and balances on power, and protection of the rights afforded to all people

• Equity, civil rights, and compassion

Through peaceful rallies, events, and communications, we aim to send a positive and strong message for the preservation of our democracy.

How can you help?

First and foremost, you can join the community as we share concerns and push back against the overreach.

Second, and critical to our efforts to spread the word, please consider a donation to this GoFundMe. We want to continue to get the word out and hold successful events.

Each and every dollar we collect will go to the supplies we need for spreading the word, hosting events, building our ties to the community, and expenses such as:

• Printing costs for flyers, banners, and posters

• Outreach to local groups

• Subscriptions to larger mobilization platforms

• Supplies for safety marshals at protests

• Sound equipment for rallies
