Support South Bronx Families This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time that is deeply rooted in the spirit of shared blessings, gratitude, reflection, and giving. This year, millions of American families will gather around their tables filled with a sumptuous feast, surrounded by loved ones. Therefore, this season inspires us at the Grand Concourse Church to continue to reach out and make a positive difference in our South Bronx community.

My name is Josephine Allsop, and I am writing to you on behalf of the Grand Concourse Seventh Day Adventist Church’s Community Services Department. This year, with the help of kind-hearted individuals like yourself, we endeavor to bring food, warmth, and joy to the less fortunate families in our South Bronx community. On November 24, 2024, we are planning to give away 200 Thanksgiving food baskets and clothing to those in need, ensuring that they, too, have a memorable Thanksgiving celebration.

Last year, we had our first annual Thanksgiving giveaway and were able to serve over 100 families in our community. With the positive feedback received, we hope that we can serve more as each year passes.
