Hi friends and family,
I am raising money to fund the creation of a tiny house with the help of Sound Foundations. This past month, I volunteered at Sound Foundations where I learned the importance of tiny homes to help transition people out of homelessness and on the streets, into jobs and permanent housing. I heard stories of people who were given an opportunity to live in a tiny home, and have transitioned into permanent housing and jobs. My biggest takeaway was how temporary housing in these tiny home villages allow for people in homelessness to have an address, collect documents and therefore apply for a job. Sound Foundations creates these homes with the help of volunteers which people live in for up to 114 days. Three people per year transition into a tiny home and then out to a better life. The homes are built to last 20 years. Therefore, ONE TINY HOME HAS THE POTENTIAL TO HELP UP TO 60 PEOPLE. Once money is raised you can help build and name the tiny home, participating in the mission to solve homelessness in Seattle.
