My name is Ed Reindolf, and I’m the founder and developer of SOS Global, a community safety-driven emergency alert mobile app designed to help people everywhere, report and respond faster to crime, kidnap, medical emergencies, accidents, fire incidents, and child safety situations.
Around the world, emergencies don’t wait. Too often, people don’t know who to alert, how to get help quickly, or how to notify others nearby when something goes wrong. SOS Global was created to help close that gap.
It is a safety emergency alerts mobile tool, a community driven app suitable for :
• Personal safety
• Crime prevention
• Medical emergencies
• Disaster response
• Environmental protection
• Community responsibility
It allows users to:
• Send instant SOS alerts during emergencies
• Notify nearby community members
• Trigger medical, ambulance, fire, or police alerts
• Send and track child safety or kidnapping alerts
• Share real-time location during emergencies
The platform is built to be globally adaptable, so it can work in different countries and communities.
Current Status:
SOS Global is currently in private Android pilot testing, built using React Native for cross-platform deployment. We are piloting the app in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Egypt, fast growing economies, high-population regions where fast emergency response can make a life-saving difference.
This pilot phase helps validate the system under real-world conditions, allows us to responsibly test reliability, accuracy before global launch. iOS (TestFlight) deployment is planned after this pilot stage.
Why I’m Asking for Help:
I’ve personally funded and developed this project so far, but to move SOS Global responsibly toward global availability, I need help covering essential early-stage costs.
My goal is to raise $500, which will help support:
• Hosting & backend server costs
• Push notification and messaging services
• App store compliance and deployment preparation
• Limited outreach for pilot user adoption
• Pilot validation and on-ground coordination
This is not about profit, it’s about keeping the system alive, tested, and ready to serve communities safely.
Why This Matters to Everyone:
Emergencies are universal. Whether you’re a resident, traveler, expatriate, student, or family member, safety matters everywhere.
SOS Global is designed to work beyond borders, and proving it in real-world, high-need environments helps ensure it can eventually benefit people globally.
This project is deeply personal to me. I believe safety should not depend on location, income level, or proximity to formal emergency infrastructure. Whether you’re a local resident, a traveler, a parent, or part of a community that looks out for one another, everyone deserves a reliable way to call for help when it matters most.
How You Can Help:
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign also helps greatly. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings SOS Global one step closer to helping people in critical moments.
Thank you for your support, encouragement, and belief in safer communities.
With gratitude,
Ed Reindolf
