Hi, I’m Sophie

This summer I have the opportunity to go on a humanitarian trip to Guatemala!

On this trip, I’ll be traveling to the Xela region of Guatemala where my group and I will help build a school, serve in local communities, and spend time with the people who live there. We’ll also get to experience the culture, visit beautiful viewpoints, and end the trip with a visit to the Guatemala City Temple.

It’s a mix of hard work, service, learning, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

I’m trying to pay for as much of this trip as I can on my own because I want it to really mean something. I’m working a part-time job at Roaring Springs, saving every paycheck I can, and for people nearby I’ll be making and selling things like cookies and cinnamon rolls to help raise money.

For friends and family who aren’t local (and sadly can’t get the baked goods ☺️), my family helped me set up this GoFundMe. Any amount you’re willing to give truly helps, even something small.

This trip isn’t just about traveling. It’s about serving, growing my testimony, stepping outside my comfort zone, and doing something that actually makes a difference for other people. I know this experience will change me, and I’m so grateful for anyone who wants to be part of helping me get there.
