Sophie just started sixth grade and is in her first year of middle school, bringing her energy and creativity to every new experience. At 11 years old, she was invited to begin formal dance training for the first time, joining the advanced competition teams in San Diego. This is a rare opportunity for someone so new to structured dance, and Sophie has embraced it wholeheartedly. Throughout the week, she practices multiple dance styles, with a primary focus on jazz and contemporary between two teams. She also takes classes to build her technique, strength, acro, and salsa skills. Her weekends are dedicated solely to competition team practices, showing her commitment and drive. Whether she’s dancing through the airport or performing a solo acapella number at a public event, her confidence, joy, and talent are unmistakable.
Supporting Sophie right now means giving her the chance to continue developing her skills and pursuing her passion in a nurturing environment. For our family, it’s about providing her with this unique opportunity while we adjust to the new financial demands that come with advanced dance training, travel, and competition costs. Funds will go directly toward monthly tuition, a team jacket, gas for travel, and miscellaneous competition fees. We’re working together as a co-parenting team to manage these changes, but the sudden increase in expenses has been challenging. A little financial relief would allow Sophie to keep thriving while we build a new plan for the future.
We are deeply grateful for any support, no matter the amount. It’s not always easy to ask for help, especially when it’s for something joyful and positive. Your generosity will help Sophie continue to feel supported and encouraged as she follows her dreams, and it means so much to our family.
