My name is Calista Abernathy. I am Sophia Williams' sister.
I am starting this GoFundMe for the 5 children who had their mother tragically taken from them on January 23rd, 2025, in a horrific homicide.
Sophia loved her kids more than anything; she lived her life for her children. Anyone who knew Sophia loved her smile, spirit, and her love for life.
Sophia was murdered over a custody battle. They were awarded custody on January 22nd. Her significant other was also harmed during this domestic dispute, which has left him critically injured.
She was the sole provider of her family of 8, six of whom were children ages 1-17, with her oldest daughter who is also blind.
We are asking for donations that will directly support them, providing necessities, educational resources, and individual therapy.
