Dear Friends,

Sonia Maria is a joyous and kind 5-year-old girl who means the world to my family in Romania. Her family is very close to my brother and his wife, and over the years, she has become dear to me as well. Recently, Sonia was diagnosed with B-cell leukemia, and her life changed almost overnight.

Sonia's family is from Craiova, and due to her diagnosis and blood results, she will begin treatment in Rome, Italy, at one of the best hospitals for treating leukemia. As her family will need to relocate for at least a year, they will face mounting medical expenses, travel costs to and from the hospital, and long periods away from work to care for her full-time.
