Hello, and thanks for visiting this page! Gorge Youth Movement is a club at Hood River Valley High School that empowers students to take action, encourages political engagement, and aids those in our community who need help!

We are partnering with MECHA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán) to bring the local Somos Inmigrantes movement to the high school. Somos Inmigrantes is a powerful symbol of solidarity and support for the immigrants in our community. We recognize that, with the exception of Native Americans, we are all descended from immigrants. We need money to buy Somos buttons, stickers, ribbons, bracelets, signs, and additional resources to distribute around the school. ✊️️

Imagine how powerful it would be to walk down the hall and see yellow accessories everywhere! We are also planning activities for the week and working to spread awareness on Know Your Rights and the PIRC Hotline. Please help us make this vision a reality. Anything helps!

If we surpass our goal, all money will go to future projects and to supporting the families of people taken by ICE.
