Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
We are heartbroken to share that our beloved colleague, Sofien Abidi, tragically passed away in a car accident on October 26th, 2024. He was a devoted husband and father to three beautiful children, Abderrahman, Zakaria and Hamza, ages 7,5 and 2, and the sole provider for his family.
Sofien was not just a remarkable employee; he was a friend to many of us. His kindness, dedication, and infectious spirit brightened our workplace every day. He loved his family deeply and worked tirelessly to provide for them. Now, in this unimaginable time of grief, his family needs our support.
We are raising funds to assist Sofien’s wife, Rim, and their children as they navigate this difficult journey ahead. The funds raised will go directly towards:
- Immediate Hospital costs: Two of his children were injured in the car accident, and Hamza is still being hospitalised .
- Immediate living expenses: Helping cover rent/mortgage, utilities, and groceries.
- Childcare costs: Supporting the children’s needs as they cope with this loss.
- Education expenses: Ensuring that the children can continue their education without interruption.
We aim to raise a minimum of 10,000$ CAD to provide some financial relief during this challenging time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping this family heal and rebuild their lives.
