Last night, our community experienced something every family hopes they never face.

A lightning strike caused a devastating fire that completely destroyed the home of the Snyder family. Within minutes, the house was engulfed and everything inside was lost.

Thankfully, everyone made it out safely — including their three beloved dogs.

While we are incredibly grateful that their lives were spared, the family now faces the unimaginable reality of starting over. They lost their home, clothing, school supplies, personal belongings, and the everyday essentials that most of us take for granted.

The girls are students in our local schools, an 8th grader at Briarhill and a junior at Marcus and the school community has already begun rallying around them with love and support.

We are creating this fundraiser to help the family with immediate and long-term needs including:

• Temporary housing

• Clothing and basic necessities

• Replacing school supplies and personal items

• Helping them begin the long road of rebuilding
