Hi friends and family! I am so excited to share that I have been given the chance to head to Guatemala in January to volunteer as a dental assistant with Vida Volunteer. ✨

Last year, I volunteered with Vida in Costa Rica and it was one of the most fulfilling and life-changing experiences I’ve ever had. I was able to witness firsthand the power of accessible dental care for those with limited resources. This trip strengthened my commitment to becoming a dentist and reinforced my passion for making oral health more equitable around the world. It allowed me to grasp that dentistry is about dignity, confidence and compassion.

I was also blessed by friendship and mentorship on this trip. It truly takes an entire village to cultivate change and I am still grateful everyday for the people I met. I still talk to many of them daily and am even going to Guatemala with several of them!
